Former ESPN executive Nate Ravitz has transitioned to Penn Entertainment, taking a leading role at theScore after nearly twenty years with ESPN.
At ESPN, Ravitz most recently held the title of Senior Vice President of Digital Content and Audience Expansion, a position that put him in charge of the network’s mobile and streaming apps, social channels, and ESPN.com. Earlier in his ESPN career, he co-hosted the Fantasy Focus podcast alongside Matthew Berry. Ravitz exited ESPN in October 2024 as part of broader company layoffs and has since moved to Penn Entertainment to lead theScore.
In his new capacity, Ravitz will supervise theScore Media, a mobile platform delivering news, alerts, scores, and statistics to sports fans. The platform currently reaches about 4 million active monthly users and more than 12 million followers across social media. Penn has also rolled out its newly launched mobile sportsbook, theScore Bet.
Ravitz announced the move with a post highlighting his responsibilities: overseeing the Media business of Penn Interactive, including Content, Ad Sales, and Growth. He also expressed enthusiasm about reuniting with former colleagues and building on theScore’s established footprint in the competitive mobile sports app landscape.
This leadership shift comes amid a broader transition in Penn’s partnerships, notably the mutual termination of ESPN’s involvement with Penn on their sportsbook collaboration. The situation leaves theScore Bet as Penn’s primary online sportsbook brand, while DraftKings remains ESPN’s official sportsbook partner. Ravitz’s new role positions him at the intersection of sports media content and a high-profile sportsbook platform, signaling an emphasis on integrated media strategies across Penn’s digital offerings.
